I’m serious. A lot of people are going to read this blog post and wish they could find me and punch me right in the face for being a _______________ (fill in whatever pejorative you care to call me).
First, the story line:
As much as I would like to paint a happy face on this story, there is a downside that no one is mentioning. The story says that Stacy and Mark “had only been together for a couple of months when they found out she was pregnant.”
Does anyone see the problem here?
Thanks to 60 years of the Playboy Philosophy and the general decline of the Christian religion in this country, it is now considered “normal” to engage in mortal sin. Sex (any sex of any kind) outside the boundaries of marriage (one woman, one man, one lifetime) is no longer considered wrong. It is, in fact, almost expected. (70% of children born in inner city black communities are illegitimate).
THIS is why abortion exists today….because we have turned the sacred into the profane. The sexual act was created as the final act of the covenant made between a man and woman in marriage. It “seals the deal,” so to speak. God gave to mankind a most intimate act designed to represent total giving of one’s self to another. We have turned it into sport – and a nasty, misogynistic sport at that.
Abortion will stop when the need for abortion stops. And the need for abortion will only stop when priests and pastors in churches start warning those who are engaging in mortal sin that God does not wink at such behavior, nor turn a blind eye to it. It will stop when those who are tempted to such action think of the never-ending torment of hell and the danger they are putting themselves in to engage in mortal sin. You ask anyone – me included – about when they put a stop to the sins they were committing and you will be told that it was when hell became very real to them.
As Michael Voris states, [I don’t care if you don’t like Michael Voris, at least he stands for something – the true Catholic faith – and has the decency to warn people that there is a hell and they will go there if they entertain sin] the Church of Nice doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers on anyone. Thus the priests of the Church of Nice are not only mute as fish regarding the dangers of mortal sin, many of them have been caught with their pants down, so to speak.
While I am happy that the baby was given the chance to live rather than being subjected to the most gruesome and painful death you can imagine, my joy is muted by the fact that this couple A.) is in a state of mortal sin B.) allowed the three sons of the mother see that sin C.) have not publicly confessed and repented of that sin and D.) are most likely continuing in that sin. They may also be adding to their guilt by now using contraception, which is also a mortal sin [I give no apology for saying this].
But everyone will go along – happy, happy, joy, joy – because a baby was saved, which is a good thing, but unaware or uncaring that this story really highlights why we have an abortion problem in the first place.
So I’ve said my piece on the subject – short and to the point. Yes, I’m a jerk and a killjoy. So as long as I am racking up negative Brownie points, let me add that the same thing is true for many of the other more “respectable sins” that are committed daily by “good Christian folks.” Do you really think that Jesus met some Baptist member of the Greater Georgia Chapter of the KKK and welcomed him into heaven with open arms? Perhaps his KKK buddies thought he was a great guy because he hated them “niggers,” but I would bet good money that all the former Klansmen who ever died are in pretty bad circumstances right now. The same goes for all the Robber Barons of the 20th century, men like John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J. Pierpont Morgan, – that whole crowd of wealthy men who became so by grinding the faces of their poor employees and stealing the general public blind.
Flash forward to George W. Bush and the outrageous way he lied and manipulated us into yet another war, causing the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians. The fact is that George Bush appears to have had no more fear of lies sending one to hell than the thug killing kids outside some high school in Baltimore by selling them cocaine.
There are two kinds of atheists – the outright and the pragmatic. The first simply does not believe in God, therefore, anything goes. If there is no God, then there is no basis for any form of morality, and hence one does what one wants. The second is the pragmatic atheist. This is the man or woman who goes to church or says “I believe in God,” but in their heart of hearts, they really don’t. Or they believe in the “God of Nice” who never sends any of his disobedient and evil children into hell.
The Bible says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” The lack of this fear is the beginning of the end for any civilization. We are the living proof of that.
