The more we go through this so-called pandemic, the more outraged I am becoming.

Really, it is more properly called a scamdemic. I shouldn’t be surprised. The world has been a Liar’s Paradise since the day that Adam and Eve partook of the Forbidden Fruit. What is somewhat strange is how so many self-professed Christian people go right along with the lies, not only accepting them without question, but promoting them, as if the commandment against false witness was never given us by God.

St Augustine teaches us, “there is a difference between lying and being a liar. A man may tell a lie unwittingly; but a liar loves to lie, and inhabits in his mind the delight of lying.” Have you ever met or ever seen on TV someone who lies so much he can’t hardly say anything that is undeniably true?

Yes. Just about every liberal media outlet, (Biggest Media Lies of 2019) almost all politicians, and a host of religious figures.

Lying is hazardous to your soul, St Augustine quotes Wisdom of Solomon 1:11: Beware of useless murmuring, and keep your tongue from slander; because no secret word will go unpunished, and a lying mouth destroys the soul.  The Bible gives this warning:

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Yes,  I know I have defended Universal Salvation, but my point is that there is going to be a punishment for liars, in proportion to the frequency and severity of the lies.  And right now, it looks like there is gonna be a long line of people in that cleansing fire. I am more than ready and eager to shovel coal into that fire. I am so angry.  I’m a pretty easy going person in a lot of ways, but if there is one thing I really cannot tolerate it is a bald-faced liar.

The last three years have produced a veritable cornucopia of lies, from the false accusations of Russian collusion, the denial of Biden that he bullied Ukrainian politicians into helping his son,  the phony impeachment trial of President Trump that wasted millions of taxpayer dollars, and on and on and on and on. It is to the point that I wake up and wonder what lie I am going to hear today and who will tell it.

The latest paradise for these purveyors of untruth has been the Scamdemic they have run on the American people, and by extension, the world. A few countries, such as Sweden, have not listened to Bill Gates and his One-World eugenicist cronies and have not gone along with punishing their people and their economies by quarantining everything that draws a breath. It is appalling to watch people run around in terror, useless masks drawn tightly to their faces, when a simple Google search could turn up the following:

All based on fear and on lies

Perhaps the most frustrating thing for me is watching multitudes of people swallow these lies in sheep-like gullibility, aided by those who breathlessly promote them for the purpose of destroying the economy and through that, destroying the presidency of President Trump. Blinded by their extreme hatred of the president, these fools look serenely on the destruction of an economy that had lifted our nation out of the doldrums of Obama’s mismanagement. To them, 30 million people out of work, along with a stale economy that may not recover for a decade, is a small and quite reasonable price to pay for getting rid of Trump and installing a Democrat in the White House.

Lies, lies, lies.  It seems that the truth is getting harder to find by the minute.

I find it most discouraging, especially when I watch the freedom I have enjoyed without thought for so long being taken from me by men and women in positions of authority who are morally unfit to pick up dog droppings in a public park.

*** This doesn’t make me a saint, but after writing this piece, I took a minute to pray for Nancy Pelosi and all the people I have called out for their lies. I am no better than they, and it is only the grace of God that I left the wretched life of lies I was living and am trying to follow Christ. We should all be praying for them.
